Amazing what a few short weeks can do!!! As of the writing of this newsletter, we have had even more excitement! We have seen our windows, doors and some of the siding installed. Thank you, Kudzu Millwork, for the window donation and Boise Cascade for the door donation. Our siding is Diamond Kote (purchased at cost along with donated items). Huge shout out to Russ Wilson and Wilson Lumber for coordinating an installation day with local contractors and the installers team.
We would also like to thank Wilson Lumber, especially Lee Barton and Alan Hill, for cosponsoring our 3rd annual Golf Tournament this past month. It was a chilly day, but numerous hearts were warmed by the need that Next Step Farms is attempting to address. This event was held at Huntsville Country Club and we grossed over $14,000 on this one day! Special shout out to Redstone Federal Credit Union for hosting the lunch and all of the local businesses who sponsored a team or hole sign.
Don’t forget our 2nd Saturday Community Workdays, this month is on April 8. On May 13, we will host our annual Poker Run with Redstone Harley Davidson. Stops include Tastees, Bottlenecks and Next Step Farms.
There are 21,000 individuals in Madison County alone that would benefit from a program to give them purpose and hands-on skills. See the need and know that Next Step Farms is answering that need. But we cannot do it alone. Now is the time to be a part of something BIG, meeting a need to a forgotten population. We need to lock arms with private and corporate sponsorship.
Contact us at info@nextstepfarms.org to help be the answer to that need. Fundraising and awareness are how we continue to achieve these goals. We need you NOW.
