Robin Kramer has a Master’s degree in Collaborative Special Education from Auburn University. She taught for 25 years as a Special Education teacher with Madison County Schools. Serving the adult special needs community has been a vision that she has had for many years. Through the love, support guidance and encouragement of her family and friends, Next Step Farms has come to life.
Christopher Kramer
Board President
Chris has a passion for small business and community outreach. His degree is Business Administration combined with a desire to meet the needs of the community in a safe, nurturing environment will only assist Next Step Farms in rising to the occasion.
Jerry “Junior” Seymour
Board Vice President
Passionate about children and adults with special needs and handy with tools and equipment. Junior oversees the structural, functional areas on Next Step Farm. Junior brings the hands on, necessary tools to the vision.
Pamela Rigsby
Board Secretary
Trained as a Special Education Teacher, Pamela currently serves numerous entities within the community . Pamela’s drive and passionate personality is assisting NSF in making new connections.
Lori Visone
Board Treasurer
Lori has a heart for outreach and has been actively involved in supporting a range of organizations to improve the life of individuals and the community. She has been married to Vince for 25 years and they have one daughter. They all have volunteered at various events with Next Step Farms since its inception. She is an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where she has served as an elder. Professionally, Lori is a water resources engineer that helps communities develop projects to address flooding, improve water quality, and stream ecology with an objective of building a more sustainable and equitable world.
Albert Visone
Board Member
Al is a US Army Veteran and served with the 1st Armored Division and 291st Military Police Company until 1968. He has a degree in Business Administration and Accounting with past experience as a banker, Vice President of Finance and Corporate Treasurer. Al has been married to his bride Sherry for more than 50 years. He has two adult children and three grandchildren. Both Al and his wife Sherry (Cookie) have a heart to serve the community with Monrovia Fire and Rescue as Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technicians, and are Lifetime members. They now serve Next Step Farms.
Laura Hogue
Bookkeeper/Board Member
Laura’s family has been an advocate for Next Step since its early formation. They have supported NSF in the area of fundraising, volunteering time, and connecting resources. Professionally, Laura has served as the church secretary. She is knowledgeable with keeping tax records, bookkeeping, and maintaining finance records via computerized programs.
Shannon Burch
Board Member
Shannon Burch moved to Madison in 2008 with her husband Sonny and three children. Sonny is a Software Architect at Dynetics. Her son Neal is 25 and attends NSF, Mary Frances, 23, is a school teacher in Pensacola Florida and Lilli, 20, attends college at Harding University. Shannon is the office manager at Titan General Contractors and is an active member of the Madison Church of Christ. She spent 15 years as an academic counselor in the Montgomery Alabama area serving several Jr High and High Schools. She served on both the elementary and middle school PTO boards in Madison County. Her hobbies include, reading, the beach, and all things family.
Shannon Allen
Board Member
Mom to the infamous Beth, Brandon and Madison. Shannon is a licensed Professional Counselor at Reflections & Wellness Counseling. She also owns a non profit business called First Class Promotions. Shannon’s personal desire to see increased opportunities within our community for unique learners brings a realistic voice to NSF.
Beth Keys
Instructional Assistant – Culinary/ Marketing
Beth is a long-time Madison County resident, mother of three adult children, and soon to be grandmother. She holds a B.S. in Family and Child Development from Auburn University, as well as a M.S. in Counseling and Human Systems from the Florida State University. Having grown up on a working farm, Beth is delighted for the opportunity to bring her experience to serving and learning alongside the adult Special Needs community. Beth is CPR and Basic First Aid Certified.
Amanda DiMuzio
Lead Instructional Assistant- Indoor Teams
Amanda found her passion for working with special needs adults when she took a job with Developmental Disabilities Institute in NY. A job became a passion and Amanda spent over 10 years working in a residential group home before coming to Next Step Farms. Amanda also holds a LPN license in NY and she is CPR and Basic First Aid Certified.
Rachel Glubrecht
Instructional Assistant
Rachel was raised in rural Washington state with 5 siblings were she learned to love gardening, baking, crocheting, and everything to do with living on a small farm. Dale, her husband of 35 years, and she have lived in many many states while raising their 3 adult children and 1 special needs teenage son, who came to live with their family at the age of 7. As a parent to a child of ASD, she has attended classes on ABA, Positive Behavioral Support, IEP meetings, and informational sessions on what to expect for those living with mental disabilities in the state of Alabama. She hopes to continue learning more about this special community through more training sessions provided by NSF. Rachel has volunteered many years as Children’s teacher and Children’s director at Huntsville Community Bible Study Day class. She volunteered at NSF for four months before coming on as a staff member.
Lisa Miles
Lead Instructional Assistant- Outdoor Teams
Lisa brings warmth, energy and a strong sense of purpose to Next Step Farms, inspiring everyone around her. Although her background was in real estate and horticulture, she jumped right in and quickly showed her passion for helping others build confidence and independence through real‑life learning.
Her heart for people and the vision is contagious!
