What’s New on the Farm?
Getting closer!! The perimeter fence has been completed! Thank you Tim Portik and Kevin Curtis for clearing and creating a secure boundary for Next Step Farms. It would not have been possible without the funding of grants fulfilled by Intrepid and Poarch Indians! Thank you!
ADS Caring Team and IDEX awarded Next Step a grant to install all of our cabinets. Elkins Cabinetry has taken our breath away with creating the image and vision that we had in our minds! They are beautiful! The ADS Caring Team followed up by spending an evening at the farm lining the cabinets, cleaning windows and bathrooms, and hanging blinds. Thank you so much!
Tish Hardric and Associate hosted a Gala on August 11 that featured 7 nonprofits, Next Step Farms was one of those nonprofits. Next Step Farms CEO and board members attended this event. It was great to see members representing and networking with other groups who are caring for the community. We are excited to see what seeds grow from this event. Special thanks to Wilson Lumber for sponsoring our table that evening.
Construction
We are in the final stages. We currently await the arrival of countertops, which should be any day now. The final “hook ups” and completion of punch lists can be made and then we schedule the final inspection. Moving day IS impending. We will need help to load and unload. Necessary appliances have been ordered and are set to be delivered on September 9. THIS is happening folks!

Becoming a sustainability partner means that you commit to a monthly donation for a minimum of one year. When you sign up, you will receive a free jar of jam or jelly, or pickles based on the monthly membership that you select.
