August 2023 Update

What’s New on the Farm?

Special thanks to ALL who helped with the chicken coops! We have moved 16 of our chickens onto the property. We have about 20 more to add in the next few weeks. We are already getting fresh eggs and our neighbors are knocking on the door to get them. Yes, we will have them available to the public, starting at a suggested donation price of $3.

Our garden is producing tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, and some corn. These items combined with some generous donations have made it possible for us to continue our preserving lessons. We have pickles, corn cob jelly, pepper jelly, salsa, strawberry jam, and coffee jelly. YUMMY! If you are interested in picking up one of these items, we are at our temporary location Tues, Wed,and Thurs from 9-2. Email us to check availability info@nextstepfarms.org.

Billy!!! Our Great Pyrenees puppy named Billy is growing so fast. Currently weighing in at 31 lbs, he is a big fluff ball! He is already practicing his herding skills on the humans, especially when he is hungry! Oh how we LOVE Billy.

Construction

Last week, the painting began! Cabinets are being installed! Countertops are ordered, appliances have been selected and await installation date! We have opted to contract out the floors due to timing and feasibility. We are so ready to occupy our facility. We are getting closer.
