Oh, Happy 1 Year Anniversary to Next Step Farms!! One year ago today, we opened our doors to our first clients. We could not have done this without the encouraging words of our close counsel family and friends, the parents/caregivers who trusted us, the corporate sponsors and private donors who walked alongside us, and our volunteers who serve every week to make this vision a success. BUT hold on for year number TWO! It is already lining up to be AMAZING!!!!!!!!
TODAY, we begin our three day a week program at our temporary location. We are open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9-2. TODAY, our new part time business manager, Julia Williams, begins her journey with Next Step Farms and we could not be any more exited to welcome her into our little close-knit group. TODAY, we have a framed building!!!!!
Fundraising and awareness are how we continue to achieve these goals. We need you NOW. Within the month of March we have Community Workdays to cut trees for the fence line, level the ground to place raised beds, and clean up the construction site. We also have our 3rd annual Golf Tournament on March 13, 2023 at Huntsville Country Club. We still need a beverage cart sponsor and some hole sign sponsorships. Players are always welcome. Let’s make this the BEST one yet!! All proceeds go directly to reduce the cost of our building. Bertha’s BBQ Ministry is sponsoring a Boston Butt fundraiser for us as well this month. We all like to eat!! Pick up will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 465 Smith Vassar Rd- SEE OUR CONSTRUCTION!
There are 21,000 individuals in Madison County alone that would benefit from a program to give them purposes and hands-on skills. See the need and know that Next Step Farms is answering that need. But we cannot do it alone. Now is the time to be a part of something BIG, meeting a need to a forgotten population. We need to lock arms with private and corporate sponsorship.
